We do not sell ambient agents.

The name causes one common misconception, so it is worth clearing up before anything else on this page.

Ambient Agent is not an AI agent product. We design and install the AI Control System: the access rules, evidence requirements, approval workflow, register and reporting that let an organisation adopt AI safely.

Once installed, control runs the way ambient technology is meant to run. Continuously, in the background, without getting in the way of how people already work.

The name describes the end state we deliver, not a product on a shelf.

01 / The gap we close

Between policy and enforced control.

Enterprise organisations have invested heavily in AI policy, governance frameworks and strategic roadmaps. These assets exist in abundance. What does not exist is the operational layer that enforces those policies at the point of use, at the point of access, and at the point of scale.

The category

Most organisations can point to a governance document, an acceptable use policy, or an AI risk register. Very few can demonstrate that those controls are actively enforced, that usage is visible, that access is governed by capability, and that cost and risk are measurable in real time. Ambient Agent closes that gap. The system is designed to sit on whatever identity, policy and workflow tooling you already run.

04 / The founder

One person. Deliberately.

Ambient Agent did not begin with a whiteboard.

It began with the experience of governing and enabling AI inside large, regulated enterprises. Founder Brent Phillips has personally led this work across two major UK organisations, with accountability spanning governance, adoption, controls and enterprise enablement. The environments were real, the accountability was real, and the methods had to work beyond PowerPoint.

Ambient Agent takes what was learned there and turns it into a practical AI control system: clear ownership, proportionate controls, reusable artefacts and evidence that stands up to scrutiny.

Those engagements were undertaken by Brent in senior enterprise roles before Ambient Agent was founded. The experience is his. The system built from it is Ambient Agent’s. Neither client is named, and neither sector is disclosed. References are available on request.
